Wednesday, September 30, 6-8 142 Curtiss This workshop is designed and conducted by the Ag Study Abroad office every fall before the college career fair. The goal of this workshop is to help returning study abroad students make the most of their international experiences by applying them to the job market. Specific objectives include: 1) help students identify the useful skills gained from the study abroad experience; 2) help students learn how to showcase those skills during an interview or on a resume; 3) help students share international experiences with others. October 1 - The 10th Ag Study Abroad Photo Contest Application Due Interested in showing off your summer study abroad trip AND have a chance to win prizes? Enter your favorite three summer 2009 travel photos into the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Study Abroad photo contest! All CALS students who studied abroad during summer 2009 and non-CALS students who studied abroad through a CALS trip during summer 2009 are eligible! The deadline for submission is Thursday, October 1st 2009. Please contact Tia Sandoval at tiasand@iastate.edu for more information about the contest as well as how to enter the contest. October 8th - Ag Study Abroad BBQ Thursday, October 8, 5:30-7:30 Kildee Pavilion Go back to the October calendar October 9th -13th - IAAS USA National Summit IAAS, the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences, is an international, student-run organization contains over 1,500 members from 46 countries around the world. The US has been a member of IAAS for about five years and there are several US chapters. This fall the ISU chapter of IAAS will host a national summit at Iowa State University from October 9th to 13th. If you would like to attend, please fill out the registration form and send it electronically to iaas.usasummit@gmail.com or drop it off at Agronomy 1009 by Thursday, October 17.
