If you are interested in working as a student travel consultant for 2008-2009 academic year, please contact Difei Shen at dfshen@iastate.edu or 294-8447.

Student Travel Consultants for 2007-2008 Academic Year:

Our goals for 2005 - 2010 are to:

  • Double the number of students going on semester-long programs (47 in 2004)
  • Generate two new opportunities to involve the 93% of College of Agriculture students who don’t go abroad in any given year in some sort of international program. They are: AgriCULTURAL Global Students and Student Travel Consultants.
  • Use student focus groups, stakeholder focus groups and scenario planning to develop an effective marketing plan that will increase the percentage of students recruited
  • Continue to provide high quality faculty service (including logistical support, recognition and rewards for group leaders and training for new leaders)
  • Develop and implement more thorough evaluation methods to measure program quality
