Introduce students to the natural history of Tanzania with an emphasis on diverse habitats ranging from dry savanna to tropical rain forest. This will include visits to several national parks and game reserves that encompass different ecosystems. The program will provide students with an opportunity to (1) contrast competing uses of natural resources, (2) learn how ecosystems are managed in an effort to mitigate human-wildlife conflict, and (3) experience the incredible biodiversity of Tanzania with a particular emphasis on birds and mammals.
