Advising CALS Students

Academic advisors in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences promote the personal and academic development of the student while broadening the student’s interest and outlook by encouraging self-discovery and academic breadth. Academic advisors have the institutional knowledge and connections to play a crucial role in connecting and informing students about international opportunities.

The CALS Study Abroad office works closely with academic advisors in the college to provide resources and aid to academic advisors, so they can advise current students on the array of study abroad opportunities through the college.

Amy Brandau"We have many students at Iowa State that would benefit from a study abroad trip – if you can help broaden the horizons of our many students who have never been out of the Midwest, you will be helping to make the world a better place for both individual students and for those around those students who study abroad."
