The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Global Programs office partnered with the Iowa State University Foundation to host the 11th Annual CALS Study Abroad Scholarship Dinner on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Over 50 students, donors, and Iowa State faculty and staff attended the event held at the house of CALS Global Programs Director Shelley Taylor. The event’s goal was to celebrate study abroad as a transformative experience and allow students the opportunity to share their impacts with donors that supported their endeavors abroad.
An anticipated total of 176 students participated in a CALS Study Abroad travel course, and 28 students participated in a CALS Study Abroad exchange or semester-long program during the 2021-2022 academic year. An anticipated total of $141,365 in scholarships were awarded to 157 students participating in a CALS Study abroad program*.
