Let CALS Study Abroad help you bring the world to your students!
We are a full-service study abroad office located at 0018 Curtiss Hall. With a mission to support students as they seek to make a difference in the world, our office provides support to students studying abroad, faculty and staff interested in developing and integrating international opportunities into their curriculum, and academic advisors, so they can best advise students interested in pursuing international opportunities during their time at Iowa State University.
The CALS Study Abroad office provides administrative and logistical support for faculty to develop and lead faculty-led study abroad programs. Faculty-led CALS study abroad programs are short-term study abroad programs that integrate an international component into the regular curriculum. These credit-bearing programs include an on-campus course for the semester with an international field trip ranging from 10 days to 6 weeks during a break (Fall/Thanksgiving, winter, spring, summer).
The CALS Study Abroad office works closely with academic advisors in the college to provide resources and aid to academic advisors to advise current students on the array of study abroad opportunities through the college.
