Students will gain firsthand exposure to an emerging economy in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates has always been at the forefront of economic diversification. The country has the second largest economy in the Arab world and, more recently, has been attracting foreign direct investment. Tourism remains one of the main sources of revenue in the UAE although the country has also started focusing on creating a knowledgebased economy. Students participating in this program will gain an in depth understanding of the UAE by studying and interacting with company representatives and local hosts in the following areas:

  • Financial Banking and Investment
  • Business and Economics
  • Cultural and Heritage

Undergraduate students with a major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences are eligible to apply for the CALS Study Abroad Scholarship. The scholarship deadline for fall programs is May 1, 2024.
