This is a semester-long CALS exchange program available to students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a 3.0 GPA or above. Students must also be able to successfully complete courses in Spanish.
The University of Costa Rica is one of the top research institutions in Central America and has the largest academic offer in the country. Over 40,000 students attend the University of Costa Rica in all of its locations. The main campus, and the one exchange students attend, is located in San José.
Students have the option to take courses surrounding the following:
- Agronomy (Agronomía)
- Animal Husbandry (Zootecnia)
- Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (Economía Agrícola y Agronegocios)
- Food Technology (Tecnología de Alimentos)
Courses are taught solely in Spanish. Intensive Spanish courses are offered to exchange students.
