Packing for a Semester Abroad

Deciding what to pack for a semester abroad can be extremely overwhelming. You don’t want to under-pack but you also don’t want to take too much. Our two Student Travel Consultants, Garhett and Courtney recently spent semesters abroad. In this blog, they will share what they packed and some overall advice on what to bring with you!

Federal University of Vicosa, Brazil (Exchange - Spring)

This is a semester-long CALS exchange program available to students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and ABE students in the College of Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or above.  

The Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) is a public Brazilian higher education institution with around 20,000 students and over 1,200 full professors. Founded in 1926, UFV is considered the main Brazilian university in agriculture.

University College Dublin, Ireland (Exchange - Spring)

This is a semester-long CALS exchange program available to students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a 3.0 GPA or above. 

University College Dublin (UCD) is one of Europe's leading research-intensive universities founded in 1854. It is ranked within the top 1% of higher education institutions world-wide. The UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science is ranked number one in Ireland and in the top 100 in the world.

UniLaSalle, Polytechnic Institute, France (Exchange - Spring)

This is a semester and summer CALS exchange program available to students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Human Sciences with a 3.0 GPA minimum.

UniLaSalle has a strong emphasis on cultivated innovations in scientific fields applied to agriculture, nutrition and health, geology, and the environment.
