How do semester/summer program courses transfer back to ISU?
IMPORTANT: Before you study abroad, confirm with your academic advisor how the classes abroad will transfer back for you to Iowa State.
Perrotis College, American Farm School, Greece Informational Session
All educational and research programs at the American Farm School are supported by the large-cale Educational Farm that includes the Holstein Friesian dairy herd that is ranked among the top 10% in the world; a poultry unit using the latest research for Omega 3 egg, broiler and turkey production; greenhouses; vegetable gardens; vineyards; fruit and olive trees; and extensive field crops at its satellite farm to the west of Thessaloniki.
Wageningen University, Netherlands Informational Session
Wageningen University in the Netherlands is a top-ranked, globally recognized university in agriculture, forestry, environmental and ecology, plant and animal sciences, and food science and technology. It is the only university in the Netherlands focusing on ‘healthy food and living environment’.
ISU CALS students can study for a semester on an exchange at Wageningen University for the fall or spring semester. There are courses available in English.
University College Dublin, Ireland Info Session

Packing for a Semester Abroad
Deciding what to pack for a semester abroad can be extremely overwhelming. You don’t want to under-pack but you also don’t want to take too much. Our two Student Travel Consultants, Garhett and Courtney recently spent semesters abroad. In this blog, they will share what they packed and some overall advice on what to bring with you!
Agro3 Consortium - France
This is a semester and summer CALS exchange program available to students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
France Agro³ is a consortium of French agricultural colleges made up of the following schools:
- ESA - Angers, France
- ISA - Lille, France
- ISARA - Lyon, France
- Purpan - Toulouse, France (French-taught courses only)
Students are able to take English-taught Master's level courses in the following areas:
